Think Pink!

This week is full of such exciting things!
Tonight I'll be on MuchMusic at 6pm EST for another episode of New.Music.Live Style Me! This week's episode is a really heart-warming one. Two years ago, our makeover candidate Cecile, was in the back seat of a car when it was hit by an 18 wheeler transport truck. Her spine was broken and she was told she would never walk again, and yet when I met her for the show, she was walking with only the assistance of a cane and is one of the most positive and confident people I've ever met. It was a really fun episode to film and it's my favourite one yet, so tune in if you can.
Tomorrow night, I'll be attending LouLou Magazine's Shop Til You Drop! When I attended the event two years ago, I had such a fantastic time, so I'm really looking forward to doing it again. All kinds of stores along Bloor St (and other areas of the city) are hosting events and having special discounts and deals for Wednesday night only! I'm definitely going to be stopping by BCBG, Gap, Roots (where Dragonette will be performing at 9pm!), Holt Renfrew and Pink Tartan, and anywhere else I can fit in! The end of my night will be spent at La Societe for the official after party, and I hope some of you will join me there? I'll be tweeting throughout the entire event, so tweet me if you're coming too! @lizcvclark

This is the outfit I wore during the taped part of the Style Me segment that airs today. I am wearing shoes by Report (available here), pants by Isabel Marant, a blouse by Zara and a leather vest that I bought at JacFlash, where we filmed the episode.

Also, because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, many companies are releasing limited edition products to raise money for the cause. Late last month I attended the White Cashmere Collection fashion show, where, for the ninth year in a row, fifteen Canadian designers showcased garments and accessories created out of white and pink bathroom tissue (which is being sold throughout October, giving 25 cents from every pack to the cause). It really was a spectacle... I couldn't believe the gowns that had been made just by using a regular household item. After the show, I was asked to create a mood board surrounding my favourite design (I chose a gown by Golnaz Shtiani), which I did by using Pinterest. If you click to this survey, $2.00 will be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation for each time it's filled out.

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend (and a Happy Belated Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians!) x E
